how long has an Igel battery last for you and what did you do with it?
I ordered my second YTX12 BS 9-24-26 for my 1985 ATC250SX.
I was thinking my old YTX12 BS Igel hadn’t lasted too long.
It had been getting too weak to crank properly for several months.
I pulled the seat and saw the pile of old hay debris on top of the battery.
While cleaning the top to check the connections, I tried to unscrew the negative lead and it was rusted off on top back and front bottom.
Then I checked my records. Purchase date 8-24-17. That’s 9 YEARS of service and it’s soldiering on as a chainsaw sharpening battery.
The old Igel tests 12.67V measures CA 74A, ampacity 7AH and IR 50.04 mOhms.
The new Igel tests 12.68V measured CA 286A, ampacity 28AH and IR 13.89 mOhms
So how long has an Igel lasted in your ride and what has in done afterwards?

Customer for life. Called the number and left a message late one afternoon thinking I'll never hear back. By my surprise I received a text the next day with instructions on how to submit a warranty claim which was easy and simple. I had questions and Chrome response was fast and this company did what was expected. Its great to know there's still a company that stands behind their warranty.
